Shoreditch House

London’s latest opening from Soho House founder Nick Jones, Shoreditch House proves to be every bit as stylish as it’s Soho sister with that little bit of East End playfulness that makes it obvious why this is the new place where media hipsters want to be seen. Set within the old biscuit factory over three floors, it’s big and grittily urban. The additional benefits that set this back from any other members bar is the Cowshed spa, a bowling alley, a gym and the piece de resistance; a heated rooftop pool which I personally haven’t splashed around in yet, but will do once summer decides to rear it’s ugly head. The roof terrace also has a large bar and griddle to compliment the pool shenanigans completing the recipe for success.

The fourth floor offers the main bar, the restaurant, games room and a snug which is all very cool maintaining the minimalist wood and glass interior. I have visited Shoreditch House both during the day for lunch with friends and in the evening for post-work cocktails with the girls and both times I have thought it to be utterly excellent. The crowd are made up of the finest that London’s media scene has to offer and genuinely not a breadstick munching, collagen pouting waif in sight! hurrah!
