The future of Social Media; how conversation and behaviour is changing

February 13, 2009 | 3 comments | Tweet This

I was asked to give a talk on this at Use8’s recent conference on Social Media. I am not claiming to have all the answers as I don’t believe we ever will have, but a few of you have asked to see it so here you go. Most of my slides are just images, so if you view it through Slideshare, I have inserted notes so the presentation will make more sense.

Hello. Just read a review of this book and it sounds like it might have some interesting answers to your questions. Haven't read it myself yet but it's definitely on order.

    Very good Jamie.

I agree with it mostly, and enjoyed the way it makes the viewer think. How all this would fit into a business context though is far too scary for most corporations for the foreseeable future, or is it?

I think it’s awesome to point out the landscape is / has changed but how can say a petroleum company use all this? How can they develop a plan, how can they instigate a policy and, perhaps more importantly why should they?

Or - should we just keep business out of “social”?

Got something to say?
