The Attention Trust are offering web users the chance to claim back the value of their personal data by developing an Attention Recorder to see what companies really think about them. Users can build a profile constructed from their clickstream and browsing history and subsequently lock that information in an online vault. Companies wishing to contact the user, must then pay according to whether they wish to be put in contact or
they simply want the information for general demographic analysis. I am going to see how long I can hold out before seeing what I’m worth.
