Gillette have launched a new game called The Undetectables to promote their Stealth range. Your mission is to act with precision and power (tenuous link admittedly) to recover the stealth razor which has been stolen by the 5 o’clock shadow. The game is clearly taken from Mission Impossible even down to the individual tasks, however the user is able to enter a competition to win 3 days at spy school so this fact can be forgiven. The post production is of a very high quality and overall this is a really nice strategy for an FMCG.
KFC Big Daddy

KFC have launched a new advergame to promote their new Big Daddy Box Meal. The objective is to beat the hunger pangs and stop them reaching your brain by throwing items from the box meal (such as beans, fries etc.) to kill the pangs. It is a nice game although I would advise turning your speakers off as the happy repetitive music does tend to bring on thoughts of self harming but supported by nice graphics it is a nice game for all ages.

These are really cute. Netherlands based design company Studio Oooms have taken the average USB and turned it into a fashion icon. Using real sticks (yes the wooden variety) as the casing for the device they look very cool, and you will now be able to spot who has borrowed it.

Weiden & Kennedy have built a new site for Honda where users can test their passion for Honda. There are 14 steps to the test so make sure you are sitting comfortably before starting however, there are some nice little games within the site which can all be taken from the site. At the end of your test you receive your unique hondamentalism signature and then enter a competition to win a track day with the Honda team.
Carlsberg don’t do litter

Saatchi & Saatchi have just launched a really nice experiential campaign for Carlsberg. They have placed £5,000 worth of £20 and £10 notes across London with removable stickers stating “Carlsberg don’t do litter, but if they did it would probably be the best litter in the world”. Unfortunately I haven’t found one of these otherwise I would be in the pub instead of writing this however, it proves that the best ideas are usually the most simple ones. Source: Trend Hunter

Self serving ads that save the world

This is a really sweet animation put together by ad agencies Airside and Mother on how we can do our bit to save the earth. The interesting takeaway is that their animation actually serves as a great advertisement for the quality of their work… So in a way, this is a self promoting ad that also aims to save the world!
Cure your Internet addiction - check into rehab

A trial boot camp has been set up in Beijing for kids to seek help for their Internet addiction with a view to help them reacquaint themselves with reality and improve their social skills. Instead of computer games, kids are required to play with toys and in some of the more severe cases doctors have had to resort to shock therapy to treat the little darlings. I probably spend around 10 hours a day online, but it pays the bills. Does that count as an addiction?
